Celebrating Isra & Miraj 1442 H

Published by ISAFIS on

The Islamic prophet Muhammad PBUH, according to Islam (Quran surah al-Isra), made the trip in a single night about the year 621. The trip is commemorated in the Islamic calendar as one of the most important days. Muhammad is said to have traveled on the back of a winged white beast that resembled a baby horse called Buraq. “Mi’raj” was the name given to his ascension into the heavens.

Commiserations on celebrating Isra Mi’raj 1442 H. Hopefully, we will take valuable lessons from the events of the Prophet Muhammad’s special journey and use it as a springboard to begin a “journey” to become a better human being.
