Empowering Future Leaders to Shape a Globalized World

Jakarta Youth Summit, the flagship program of the Indonesian Student Association for International Studies (ISAFIS), serves as an annual platform that brings together the young generation, the nation’s future leaders, to discuss critical global issues alongside experts, academics, practitioners, and more. This summit aims to empower young minds, foster intellectual dialogue, and promote collaborative solutions to address pressing global challenges.

The inaugural Jakarta Youth Summit took place in 2021, adopting a virtual format through Zoom Meetings. With the theme “Diverse Identity in the Globalized World,” the event provided a virtual space for participants to engage in thought-provoking discussions on the impact of globalization on diverse identities, cultural exchange, and social integration. Renowned experts and distinguished speakers shared their insights, inspiring participants to broaden their perspectives and actively contribute to building a more inclusive and interconnected world.

Building on the success of the first summit, the second Jakarta Youth Summit was held offline in 2023 at the National Library of Indonesia. With the theme “Regaining Economic Resilience through Collaboration,” the event focused on exploring strategies for economic recovery and resilience in the face of global challenges. Participants had the opportunity to interact directly with industry leaders, economists, and policymakers, fostering a deeper understanding of economic issues and encouraging innovative approaches to collaboration for sustainable development.

Both editions of the Jakarta Youth Summit exemplified ISAFIS’s commitment to providing a platform for young minds to voice their opinions, exchange ideas, and contribute to shaping the global discourse. By involving young leaders in critical discussions and connecting them with experienced professionals, the summit nurtures the development of future leaders who possess a comprehensive understanding of global issues and are equipped to drive positive change.
