Board of Executives and Directors Statement regarding the cancellation of the 2020 Jakarta Model United Nations

For the past few months, we have closely monitored the development of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the world, especially in the city of Jakarta. Due to the continued restrictions of close-range social contact and public gathering, the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to make difficult decisions. Therefore, it is with heavy heart that we would like to announce the Cancellation of Jakarta Model United Nations that would originally be held on August 6-9, 2020. Safety and health remain our best priority for everyone involved in this event.

We greatly respect your understanding during these unprecedented times. However, we hope the enthusiasm of Jakarta Model United Nations will always be cherished. In the meantime, Please stay safe and healthy during this tough time. We also encourage you to follow the advice and instruction made by your respective public health officials.
